The stock market witnessed the debut of two companies, Lohia Corp and Xtranet Technologies, on Thursday, marking a significant event for investors and market analysts alike. Xtranet Technologies, which operates in the IT and IT-enabled services sector, began trading with a listing price reflecting a premium of 5.5 percent. In contrast, Lohia Corp, a manufacturer of industrial machinery, made a more robust entrance with an 8.2 percent premium over its issue price. This divergence in performance has sparked discussions among experts regarding the potential strategies for investors following these IPO listings.
As the trading day progressed, shares of Xtranet Technologies experienced a decline, dropping to Rs 129 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) by 11:04 AM, a decrease from its initial listing price of Rs 136 and its issue price of Rs 127. Meanwhile, Lohia Corp's stock showed a positive trend, trading at Rs 491 as of 11:05 AM, significantly above its listing price of Rs 461 and its issue price of Rs 425. Both companies made their stocks available on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) as well, providing investors with multiple platforms for trading.
