In a shocking case from Jamnagar, Gujarat, a woman named Pruthvi and her alleged accomplice, Nilesh, have been taken into custody for the suspected murder of Pruthvi's husband, Jignesh Mavadiya. The couple reportedly buried Jignesh's body beneath the floor of a factory and deceived his family into believing he had relocated to Australia for nearly two years. This disturbing revelation came to light when a family member, preparing to visit Australia, sought Jignesh's contact information from Pruthvi. Her inability to provide adequate details raised suspicions, prompting the family to involve law enforcement. As the investigation progressed, Pruthvi allegedly confessed to the crime during police questioning.
According to investigators, the motive behind the murder stemmed from a pre-existing relationship between Pruthvi and Nilesh, which reportedly began before her marriage. The couple is accused of poisoning Jignesh by lacing his alcoholic drink with cyanide, leading to his untimely death. Following the alleged murder, they transported his body to a factory located in the Dared Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) area. There, they are said to have dug a pit approximately 12 feet deep and buried the remains in a bid to hide their crime. The investigation took a significant turn when police, acting on Pruthvi's confession, excavated the site in question and discovered human remains, which have since been sent for forensic analysis to confirm the identity of the deceased.
