Ramban Police Seizes Properties Worth Over ₹90 Lakh from Terrorists

In a significant move against terrorism and its associated networks, the Ramban Police have successfully attached immovable properties valued at over ₹90 lakh belonging to four terrorists based in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). This action falls under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and is part of an ongoing effort to dismantle the financial support systems that enable terrorist activities. The operation was executed in accordance with the directives issued in PHQ Order No. 1874 of 2026, which was communicated through Endorsement No. Legal/Seiz-27/III/25/6305-09 dated June 24, 2026. The properties seized include various parcels of land linked to individuals identified as terrorists, highlighting the police's commitment to curbing terrorism through legal means.

The properties attached by the Ramban Police include land holdings belonging to individuals with known ties to terrorist activities. For instance, Abdul Rashid, also known as Bashir, is associated with land under Khewat No. 22, measuring 11 Marlas, which is estimated to be worth around ₹9.25 lakh. Similarly, Ghulam Rasool, referred to as Badshah, has cultivation rights on land under Khewat No. 89, which spans 10 Kanals and is valued at approximately ₹60 lakh. Additionally, Abdul Latief Naik, known as Sajjad, owns inherited land under Khewat Nos. 107/108, measuring 3 Kanals, valued at ₹20 lakh. Lastly, Mushtaq Ahmed, the son of Abdul Gani Hajam, has a property under Khewat No. 72, measuring 2 Marlas, with an estimated value of ₹1.52 lakh. These actions underscore the police's proactive stance in targeting the financial resources that sustain terrorism and its operatives.
