In a shocking incident in Bihar's Jehanabad district, a 25-year-old woman named Anshu Devi was brutally murdered by her younger brother-in-law, Kunal Kumar, following a dispute over the timing of her meal service. The tragic event unfolded on a Tuesday in Imadpur village, located within the jurisdiction of the Parsa Bigha police station. Reports indicate that Anshu, the wife of Dharmendra Kumar, was at home alone while her family members were engaged in paddy transplantation activities in the fields. Upon returning from work, Kunal demanded food, which led to a heated argument when he perceived the meal was served later than expected. In a fit of rage, Kunal allegedly used a sharp weapon to attack Anshu, resulting in her death.
The horrific nature of the crime escalated when Kunal reportedly decapitated Anshu after the murder and displayed her severed head by hanging it from a banyan tree situated near their residence. This gruesome act came to public attention when local villagers, passing by the area, spotted the head suspended from the tree and promptly informed the authorities. A police team from the Parsa Bigha station quickly arrived at the scene, where they discovered Anshu's body and subsequently sent it for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The shocking details of the incident have left the community in disbelief, as such violent acts are rare in the region.
