In a shocking incident, a domestic worker has been apprehended for allegedly stealing valuables estimated at Rs 2.65 crore from the residence of Sachin Ahir, the Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, located in Mumbai. The individual arrested has been identified as Pravin Solanki, who was employed as a domestic help at Ahir's home. According to police reports, a formal complaint was lodged two days prior, prompting the Mumbai Crime Branch's Unit 3 to take over the investigation. As of now, only one suspect has been detained, but authorities are actively pursuing leads to ascertain if additional individuals were complicit in this significant theft. The stolen items reportedly encompass a substantial amount of cash, gold jewelry, diamond ornaments, and various other valuables, all contributing to the staggering total of Rs 2.65 crore.
