Asian Paints has announced impressive financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, revealing a remarkable 40% increase in consolidated net profit, which reached ₹1,539 crore. This growth is compared to the same period last year, where the profit was ₹1,100 crore. The company’s revenue from operations also saw a significant rise, climbing 18% to ₹10,542 crore during the April to June 2026 quarter, up from ₹8,939 crore in the previous year. This robust performance highlights the company's effective strategies in navigating the challenges posed by rising inflation, particularly influenced by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
The net profit growth was attributed to a combination of strategic price adjustments and disciplined cost management. In a regulatory filing, Asian Paints outlined that its standalone net profit for Q1 FY27 rose by 34% to ₹1,478.4 crore, while revenue from operations increased nearly 17% to ₹9,183.4 crore. The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter reached ₹2,169 crore, marking a substantial 33.5% increase from ₹1,625 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. Despite a 36% surge in raw material costs to ₹5,449.3 crore due to fluctuating crude oil prices, Asian Paints managed to keep employee costs and other expenses in check, rising only 12% and 10% respectively.
