Suzuki has officially revealed the refreshed XL7 during the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), providing a strong hint regarding the future of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 in India. Although Maruti Suzuki has yet to confirm any plans for an Indian release, the XL7 and XL6 have historically shared a similar foundation and design elements. The new Indonesian model showcases a revamped exterior, enhanced interior features, and several technological advancements. If Maruti adheres to its typical product strategy, it is likely that some of these improvements will eventually be integrated into the XL6 available at Nexa dealerships across India.
Upon entering the updated XL7, the modifications become apparent. The dashboard has been upgraded to include a larger infotainment screen, while the instrument cluster and center console have also undergone revisions. Depending on the specific variant chosen in Indonesia, customers can expect features such as a 360-degree camera, wireless charging capabilities, connected car functions, and Suzuki Safety Support, which encompasses the brand's advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The six-seat configuration, complete with captain seats in the second row, remains a key feature that both the XL7 and the Indian version of the XL6 share. However, this does not guarantee that the Indian model will mirror its Indonesian counterpart exactly. Maruti Suzuki often modifies features and specifications to align with local preferences and market pricing. Consequently, certain features available in the international model may not be present in India, while there could also be unique additions tailored for Indian consumers.
