In a recent boxing match held in Thailand, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury showcased his skills by defeating Polish fighter Mariusz Wach, who was forced to retire before the eighth round. This bout served as a preparatory fight for Fury as he gears up for a highly anticipated showdown against fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua later this year. The event took place at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya and attracted around 1,500 spectators. Although the fight was not broadcasted, it is expected to be featured in the upcoming Netflix reality series titled 'At Home with the Furys.'
Mariusz Wach, who is 46 years old, has faced a challenging period in his boxing career, having lost seven of his last ten matches. His performance against Fury was cut short due to his inability to continue fighting, marking a significant moment in the bout. Tyson Fury, who will celebrate his 38th birthday in August, boasts an impressive record of 36 professional victories. His only defeats came in two encounters with Ukraine's Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, where he lost in a bid for three of the four major world titles. Fury's return to the boxing ring was announced in January after a brief retirement in December 2024, following his loss to Usyk.
