Jharkhand Board Announces 2026 Compartment Exam Schedule for Classes 10 and 12

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially unveiled the schedule for the compartment examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 for the year 2026. This announcement is particularly significant for students who did not pass one or more subjects in their annual board exams, as it provides them with an opportunity to retake these subjects. The compartment exams are designed to help students improve their academic performance and ensure they can progress in their education without the setback of losing an entire academic year. According to the newly released timetable, the compartment examinations will kick off on August 7, 2026.

For Class 10 students, the exams will take place from August 7 to August 12, while Class 12 students will have their exams from August 7 to August 14. The JAC has structured the examination schedule into two distinct shifts each day. The first shift will commence at 9:45 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM, followed by the second shift which will run from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. This arrangement allows for a comprehensive coverage of subjects, ensuring that students have ample time to complete their exams. The subjects for Class 10 include Hindi, Science, Social Science, Sanskrit, Mathematics, and various language options. Additionally, vocational subjects and examinations for extra language papers are also included in the timetable, providing a wide range of choices for students.
