An IndiGo passenger has come forward with allegations of unprofessional behavior from a ground staff member at Jaipur Airport during the boarding process. The incident, which was shared on social media, highlights the tensions that can arise between airline personnel and travelers. The passenger, identified as Cyrus Dhabhar, reported that what began as a standard procedure quickly turned confrontational after he requested that the staff member refrain from handling his phone. Dhabhar's account suggests that the interaction escalated when he attempted to scan his boarding pass himself, leading to a dispute over the staff member's insistence on taking the phone from him.
According to Dhabhar, the confrontation took place at the boarding gate, where he was preparing to scan his QR code. He claimed that the ground staff member, whom he identified as Jeetu, attempted to forcibly take the phone from him. Dhabhar stated that he initially asked the employee not to touch his device, believing he could manage the scanning independently. However, he alleged that the staff member reacted aggressively, insisting that he knew how to perform his job and dismissing Dhabhar's request. The passenger described the staff member's behavior as reminiscent of a reality TV personality, suggesting a dramatic escalation in the situation.
