Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has made a remarkable achievement by becoming the first franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to surpass a brand value of USD 300 million, according to a recent study. The two-time IPL champions have seen their brand value rise to an impressive USD 312 million, marking a significant milestone in the world of cricket and sports branding. This accomplishment highlights RCB's strong market presence and the growing popularity of the IPL as a premier sporting league. The IPL has experienced a tremendous surge in its commercial value, with the overall business enterprise value reaching USD 20.6 billion, showcasing the league's rapid growth and appeal to fans and investors alike.
The 2026 Brand Valuation Report, released by the global investment bank Houlihan Lokey, indicates that the IPL's business value has increased by 11.4 percent year-on-year, continuing its trend of double-digit growth for the second consecutive year. The league's standalone brand value has also seen a rise of 10.3 percent, reaching USD 4.3 billion, which translates to an addition of more than USD 1.1 billion in brand value since 2023. RCB's brand value has surged by 16 percent from USD 269 million in 2025 to USD 312 million in 2026, solidifying its position as the top franchise in the IPL rankings and making it the first cricket team globally to achieve this remarkable feat.
