A software engineer has recounted how a job rejection from Microsoft India unexpectedly altered her career trajectory. Reflecting on her experiences, she noted that not being selected by the Indian branch of the tech giant ultimately guided her toward opportunities that led her to secure a position at Microsoft in the United States. Prachiti, who is now thriving at Microsoft in the US, took to social media platform X to share her inspiring story. Before relocating to the United States for further studies, she had applied for a role at Microsoft India. She candidly revealed that had she received an offer from the Indian office, she would have considered canceling her admission to a university in the US. “It’s astonishing to think that my current situation would be entirely different if Microsoft India had accepted me just before my move to the US. I was ready to abandon my plans for higher education if I had landed that job,” she explained. However, the rejection turned out to be a blessing in disguise, prompting her to pursue her studies in the US, where she eventually carved out a successful career.
