Tom Holland reprises his iconic role as the web-slinger, alongside Zendaya and newcomer Sadie Sink, who takes on the role of Jean Grey. The film's release has been met with remarkable enthusiasm, as evidenced by the record-breaking advance ticket sales leading up to its premiere. On its opening day, the film is projected to comfortably surpass the Rs 25 crore gross mark, solidifying its position as one of the most successful Hollywood releases of the year in India.
Released on a Thursday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been screened in over 8,779 shows across the country. According to real-time box office tracking from Sacnilk, the film has already amassed a net collection of Rs 18.01 crore, with a gross total of Rs 21.25 crore by the end of the first day. These numbers are anticipated to rise as the evening and late-night screenings conclude, with final figures expected to reflect a strong opening day performance. The English version of the film has led the charge in multiplexes, raking in Rs 8.86 crore with an impressive occupancy rate of 47% across 3,967 shows. Meanwhile, the Hindi dubbed version has also performed admirably, earning Rs 6.70 crore and boasting a staggering 96% occupancy across 3,569 shows, indicating a widespread appeal beyond major urban centers.
