Ajinkya Rahane's remarkable ability to excel under pressure has been a defining aspect of his international cricket career, as noted by his former coach Pravin Amre. Amre emphasized Rahane's leadership qualities and mental fortitude during India's unforgettable tour of Australia in 2020-2021. "We know what he did in Australia with that particular innings in Melbourne when the team was bowled out for 36 previously," Amre stated in an interview.
