Shabana Azmi Supports CJP Protest Despite Swine Flu Diagnosis

Renowned actress Shabana Azmi has recently been diagnosed with swine flu, which has led her doctors to recommend that she take a break and focus on her recovery for the next few days. In the midst of her health challenges, she took to social media to express her solidarity with the ongoing protests in Mumbai, where she had initially planned to join the demonstrators in person. However, due to her current condition, she was unable to attend but still wanted to show her support for the cause being championed by the protesters.

In her heartfelt message shared online, Azmi addressed the people of Mumbai, stating, “My dear Mumbaikars, I was meant to join your protest yesterday, but I’ve come down with H1N1 and need to remain in isolation for the next five days. Even so, I want to express my solidarity and appreciation.” She emphasized the importance of the youth participating in the protests, noting that many were experiencing activism for the first time and realizing the power of their voices. Azmi expressed admiration for their bravery and determination, stating that their commitment to the cause continues to inspire her.
